While the Taj Mahal and other well-known landmarks receive plenty of tourists each year, there are many other places that are lesser known but just as worthy of a visit.  Tirthan Valley, Himachal Pradesh 

      The Tirthan Valley is located in the Himalayan mountains in the north of India. It’s a popular destination for Indian tourists, but not many international tourists make it here. The valley is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the country, with snow-capped mountains, green fields, and waterfalls. There are plenty of trekking and hiking trails to explore, and you can also go fishing, rafting, and camping. The valley is also home to the Great Himalayan National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

There are also many historical sites, including the Cellular Jail, which was used to house political prisoners during the British Raj.

Nubra Valley, Jammu, and Kashmir 

      The Nubra Valley is located in the Himalayan mountains of Jammu and Kashmir. The valley is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the country, with snow-capped mountains, green fields, and lakes. The valley is also home to the Bactrian camels, which are double-humped camels that were introduced to the region by the Silk Road traders. The Nubra Valley is a great place to go trekking, and there are also many Buddhist monasteries to visit.
